Well ladies and germs Summer's not over and we got plenty of horror flicks to cover for the rest of the season. Continuing with these terrifying tales of getaways, road trips ill-fated Adventures into hell. Here's my list of horror movies for the month of August.
10. Vacancy 2007
A married couple becomes stranded at an isolated motel and finds hidden video cameras in their room. They soon realize that unless they escape, they'll be the next victims of a snuff film.
9. Campfire Tales 1998
A group of teens entertain themselves by telling an anthology of famous urban legends with a modern twist; including make-out-point, monsters, psychopaths, and ghosts.
8. The Ruins 2008
A group of friends whose leisurely Mexican holiday takes a turn for the worse when they, along with a fellow tourist, embark on a remote archaeological dig in the jungle where something evil lives among the ruins.
7. Just Before Dawn 1981
Five campers arrive in the mountains to examine some property they have bought, but are warned by Forest Ranger Roy McLean that a huge machete-wielding maniac has been terrorising the area. Ignoring the warnings, they set up camp, and start disappearing one by one. If that sounds too run-of-the-mill, there's a genuinely shocking plot twist halfway through.
